Information Literacy
Information Literacy is the ability to access, evaluate and use information accurately, creative and ethically.
These skills are necessary to be a successful learner in the 21st century.
The information literate student is one who:
- Accesses information efficiently and effectively
- Evaluates information critically and competently
- Uses information accurately and creatively
- Pursues information related to personal interests
- Strives for excellence in information seekig and knowledge generation
- Recognizes the improtance of Information to a democratic society
- Practices eithical behavior in regard to information and information technology
